The #1 Thing You Can Do To Get Others To Believe In You

I know what you’re thinking. “Parita, we’re not supposed to care about what other people think. Isn’t that what you always say?”

To that I would say, “Yes, absolutely! Being a people pleaser is a form of self-sabotage.”

BUT...and this is a big but. The majority of women I’ve coached and people I’ve talked to in general (both women and men) care about what other people think. We want people to believe in us. In our capabilities. It’s human nature.

So the #1 way to get others to believe in you is to...believe in yourself first!

Maybe not the secret you were hoping for, but it’s the truth!

When you believe in you, you signal a sense of confidence and trust in yourself. It shows that you know yourself and what you’re capable of, which automatically lends itself to others believing in you.

When you believe in your purpose, vision, mission (big picture or smaller) so deeply, you sometimes tend to stop caring what other people think/believe. You’re so invested in you that the opinion (because that’s all it is) of others falls to the wayside. What a great bonus!

So the next time you start going down the ‘what will/do other people think’ path, focus on what you think and believe. And make sure that includes thinking about and believing in you!
